The full sweep of wonders—from pristine coral reefs to the Gettysburg battlefield to glaciers and all the glorious diversity in between—offers a breathtaking tour of the very best of America's national treasures.

Beautiful eye candy Beautiful eye candy! Nice breather when I need to "travel" for a couple minutes. Great when i have time to read for longer.Outstanding!! Outstanding 100th NPS Anniversary book with outstanding pictures of our nation's National Parks'a real treasure for all Americans and anyone form around the world who visits our National Parks. God's grace in pictures too!Beautiful and informative book- more than a coffee table book. This is a beautiful book, and purchasing it through Amazon is literally half the price of purchasing it from National Geographic directly. I purchased it for my father-in-law for Christmas, and he loved it- as we all did. Everyone in the house took a turn looking at it on Christmas Morning. The photos are lovely and vibrant with some foldouts, and it gives a good deal of info on each park (helpful if you want to find a new one to go to or reminisce about a previous visit). The only negative was the box came completely mangled and had been taped up, and the cover overwrap was bent and folded a bit. I am sure this was more of a post office issue and not Amazon's fault, and it didn't affect the actual cover or any of the pages, so it wasn't a big deal. Highly recommend.

Believe It Pdf

ISBN: B07LB7LR5G
Title: Believe It Pdf My Journey of Success, Failure, and Overcoming the Odds

New York Times best seller

Get ready to defy the odds when everyone's counting you out.

When the Philadelphia Eagles' starting quarterback went down with a torn ACL in week 14 of the 2017 NFL season, many fans - and commentators - assumed the Eagles' season was over.

Instead, Nick Foles came off the bench and, against all odds, led the Eagles to their first Super Bowl victory in history. How did Nick get it done - winning MVP honors, silencing the critics, and shocking the world? How did the man who was on the verge of retiring just two seasons earlier stay optimistic and rally the team to an astounding win? How did he stay ready despite numerous trades and discouraging injuries, able to step up in the moment and perform at the top of his game?

Believe It offers a behind-the-scenes look at Nick's unlikely path to the Super Bowl, the obstacles that threatened to hold him back, his rediscovery of his love for the game, and the faith that grounded him through it all. Learn from the way Nick handled the trials and tribulations that made him into the man he is today - and discover a path to your own success.

INSPIRATIONAL! Quick read for NFL fans-especially Eagle fans! Fly Nick, Fly! Rocky would be proud! This is an inspirational, quick read / "can't put down" book for NFL fans in general, and even more so for all of the dedicated, UNDERDOG Eagle fans out there! Nick Foles shows his fortitude while also sharing his down times when so many people doubted his ability to play successfully in the NFL. Through years of "back-up" status and heart breaking trades, Foles never gives up on his dream. In what could easily be a fictional tale, Nick is suddenly faced with the ultimate opportunity to prove to the world, and himself, that he DOES have what it takes to be a CHAMPION when the Philadelphia Eagle's lose their first-string Quarterback, the likely League MVP - Carson Wentz, to a devastating and season-ending injury. The Eagles had been on a completely unexpected, miraculous march to the playoffs at the time. Despite ultimate underdog status, the entire team, with Nick in the hot-seat position of starting Quarterback, goes on to a storybook ending, affirming the belief of diehard Eagle fans and quieting so many doubters across the NFL world. The fact that this story unfolded in the city that brought us Rocky Balboa is just icing on the cake!Honest and Humble Nick Foles shows what an honest humble person he is. Tom Brady could learn a lot from how Nick sees the world and those around him. Based off of the Super Bowl result, Brady could learn some football from him too.Great Book Extraordinary man and extraordinary story about an event that captured peoples hearts. Especially in the Philadelphia area. Being a die hard Eagles fan there is very little that is going to top the 2017 season and what took place. I'm not a big reader of sports books although several over the years have captured me, "A Good Walk Spoiled", comes to mind. Another aspect of Nicks story that struck me is his faith in God and the way he dealt with the world of professional football. I read the book cover to cover in a day. I simply could not put it down. It's not a literary work of art but it's a good story told by a man who seems to have a balance in life that is inspiring. If your a football fan then the insider views of the 2017 season will be of great interest. If your a Christian then Gods hand is more then obvious in the events that took place. Highly recommended

Title: Foreign Deceit (David Wolf) Pdf
Author: Jeff Carson
Published Date: 2014-03-20
Page: 336
As if narrowly escaping an attempt on his life, his addict ex-wife being back in the picture, and complications to his all-but-certain appointment to Sheriff weren't enough, Sergeant David Wolf of the Sluice County SD receives word that his brother has committed suicide in the Alps of Italy.

Devastation and resentment over his only sibling's selfish act quickly gives way to a nagging suspicion that he isn't getting the whole truth. Conviction alone is enough to pull Wolf from pressing events in his Colorado Rockies ski resort home of Rocky Points, Colorado, to the entirely foreign land of Northern Italy, and into a deadlier situation than he could have imagined.

With the help of a beautiful officer of the Carabinieri, Wolf must piece together the mystery of his brother's last fateful night without ruffling too many feathers, or paying the ultimate price.

A gritty tale of international mystery and action, Foreign Deceit will keep you guessing until the final pages.

If you're into action, suspense, thrillers, mysteries, twisted plots, and memorable characters, then you'll love Foreign Deceit and the rest of the David Wolf series.

"If there's only one thing I've learned the past week, it's that hesitation kills." Sergeant David Wolf is a member of the Sluice County Sheriff 's Department. While out investigating a murder, he barely escapes becoming a murder victim himself. His ex-wife (and mother of his son), is released from rehab and he wonders if she will stay clean this time. And, Wolf is waiting to see if he will be appointed as the new Sheriff by county council members and the mayor...Wolf receives news, via his mother, that his brother has committed suicide in Lecco, Italy. Since he does not believe that John really killed himself, Wolf travels to Northern Italy to try to prove John was murdered, without causing too much upset in the Italian Carabinieri (and without becoming another victim). Officer Lia Parente is assigned to assist him with his investigation of John's last night...Finally! A mystery series that looks like it will be worth reading! I was immersed in this story from beginning to end. There was a great plot with an intriguing subplot and both were interesting. I must say, I never expected either conclusion. I felt like I travelled from Rocky Point, Colorado (USA) to Lecco, Italia and back with Sergeant Wolf. With him, I followed the clues through the twists and turns — and there were plenty of surprises to keep me entertained along the way. The ending made me want to read the next book now!Good story spoiled by inept writing/editing I liked the beginning of this story. It was pretty well-written and had the kind of plot and characters I like. Some of the syntax was clumsy, but, hey, that can happen. Nobody's perfect.ell, maybe Elmore Leonard. But after a few chapters it fell flat. I enjoyed the story until it became (1)unbelievable and (2) poorly constructed. I believe it could have been saved by an experienced editor, but there didn't seem to be one available. After a few chapters I found myself setting deadlines. "I think it will get better. I'll give it another 10 pages." That kind of thing. FInally, I found myself skimming forward, looking for improvement, but none came. This author has promise, but this book is not up to par.First Novel - Not bad First Novel - not bad.I am not educated enough to detail the talents of this author, but I recognize a well written one from one that could use more work - or better editing.Foreign Deceit is a good if sometimes awkward read. The plot is fully believable if at times not well fleshed out by the story line. Characters are well defined and fit with the story line and technically the novel accurate for a fictional work. However there are several places when reading that the dialog or the story line could have used revision.Having said that, I did enjoy the book enough to purchase the 2nd in the series and hope to find a more experienced author - or perhaps editor - improving their craft.
